As expected, all signs point to this new (and newly married) Jessie Ware album being fantastic. Listen to her latest single, a collaboration with Dev Hynes, “Want Your Feeling” below. Jessie’s new album Tough Love is out October 6 in the UK and October 21 in the US via PMR / Interscope.

Brooklyn quartet (and blog sweetheart) Haerts have shared a brand new single called “Giving Up” and it’s pretty fantastic. The track is presumably our second taste This track is our first of their upcoming full-length on Columbia (apparently “Call My Name” isn’t on the album?). “Giving Up” is a lovely, soaring indie pop tune that showcases this band’s fantastic sound very well. Check it out below via the lyric vid.

First thing’s first – our very own Stephen T got married last weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and we couldn’t be happier for he and his wife, Rachel. Be sure to wish him congratulations. Now how about some new tunes? Stephen is off on his honeymoon, so I was on my own for this (for better or worse) one. Frankly put, this mix starts off with some down right bangers. Hits off with a shameless (but undeniably great) bubblegum tune from 2014’s pop princess, Ariana Grande and doesn’t slow down as Rustie and Danny Brown make ya wanna go break some shit with “Attack”. Hip hop has a strong presence on the mix and really, this is one of the more beat driven mixes we’ve done in some time. There are some songs from a few of our favorite albums of 2014 that we can’t seem to stop featuring tracks from (i.e. Shabazz Palaces, FKA twigs, Caribou). We also have our, what has become routine, pocket of bizarre, yet extremely catchy jams from the (London) PC Music-esque crew that is sure to polarize some of you. We can’t get enough right now. Even if it’s not your thing, be sure to push through as we end the mix with some young, promising up and coming acts (Ryn Weaver, Raury, Deers, etc.) and just a touch of good ol’ fashion rock.
The mix is certainly a bit on the longer side, but we’ll justify it as it’s just in time for a long, three day weekend. Enjoy the holiday with some new tunes and some college football (finally!). Download and track listing below.

We’re not totally sure what the deal is with this song/video, but it’s a perfect jam for late night, end of the summer. A Don Bolles-produced version of Ariel Pink‘s “Shower Me With Lipstick“, and quite possibly taken from his just-finished forthcoming LP for 4AD. Check it out below:

After releasing a couple of very promising singles in “God’s Whisper” and “Cigarette Song”, Atlanta’s yung Raury has released his debut mixtape in the highly enjoyable, extremely versatile Indigo Child. Raury has an exceedingly original sound that is both difficult to describe and unpredictable. He’s an innovative artist that flirts with both the hip hop and indie/alt songwriting areas. And most of the team he succeeds. You can download Indigo Child here and listen to album stand out, “Superfly” below:
